There is a PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD & PUBLIC HEARING for the Draft Fiscal Year (FY) 2020-2023 Genesee County Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) and Air Quality Conformity Analysis. The TIP lists four years of federally-funded transportation projects and programs proposed for Genesee County’s transportation network. The TIP includes road, public transit, and non-motorized transportation improvements and their proposed costs.
A 30-day public comment period for the Draft FY 2020-2023 TIP and Air Quality Conformity Analysis will be held from Sunday, June 2, 2019 through Tuesday, July 2, 2019. The TIP and Air Quality Conformity Analysis are available for public review and comment at the Genesee County Metropolitan Planning Commission office located at 1101 Beach Street, Room 223, Flint, Michigan and on our website at this link. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Comments may be made in person, or by mail, telephone, facsimile, e-mail, Facebook or Twitter. Additionally, a digital copy of the draft TIP document and Air Quality Conformity Analysis for public review and comment have been sent to the following locations: the Genesee County Road Commission, Flint Mass Transportation Authority (MTA), the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT)-Davison Transportation Service Center, and each Genesee County city, township and village office. If you wish to view the document at one of these locations, please call ahead to make sure it has been printed out and is available. A Public Hearing will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at 5:30 p.m. in the Willard P. Harris Auditorium, 3rd Floor, Genesee County Administration Building, 1101 Beach Street, Flint, MI, 48502. This hearing complies with the intent of Fixing America’s Surface Transportation Act (FAST Act) legislation. The Genesee County Metropolitan Planning Commission will furnish reasonable auxiliary aids and services to individuals with disabilities upon request.
