The Genesee-Lapeer-Shiawassee (GLS) Region V Planning and Development Commission  serves as the Regional Planning Organization (RPO) for Genesee, Lapeer, and Shiawassee counties in mid-Michigan providing planning assistance to county and local units of government within the region related to transportation, economic development, hazard mitigation, recreation, solid waste, environmental, and general planning. The Genesee County Metropolitan Planning Commission (GCMPC) serves as staff to the GLS Region V PDC to implement the commission’s programs and services.

A GLS Region V Planning and Development Commission meeting  and public hearing will be held on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. in Room 222 on the second floor of the Genesee County Administration Building in Flint. You are invited to attend this public meeting which  is an opportunity for you to review and comment on the following item:  the GLS Region V FY 2022 budget. The budget  is available for public review and comment here.  Comments may be made by mail, phone, fax or e-mail. The Genesee County Metropolitan Planning Commission will furnish reasonable auxiliary aids and services to individuals with disabilities upon request.
