Attention! Genesee County anticipates receiving a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program award for the 2017 Program Year (PY), distributed by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). HUD provides CDBG funds to entitlement community grantees, like Genesee County, to carry out a wide range of community development activities. These activities are directed primarily toward revitalizing neighborhoods, encouraging economic development, and providing improvements to community facilities and services in low to moderate income areas. The following Genesee County municipalities are eligible to apply for 2017 CDBG funds: City of Flushing, City of Swartz Creek, Clayton Township, Flint Township, Flushing Township, Gaines Township, Mt. Morris Township, Mundy Township, and the Village of Gaines.

A 2017 Genesee County Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Project Proposal form should be completed for each proposed 2017 CDBG project. One proposal form should be completed, in its entirety, for each project. Incomplete project proposals will not be considered for funding.
