ATTENTION! PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD & PUBLIC HEARING:
For Amendment # 1 to the “Genesee: Our County, Our Future” plan which is a combined plan that serves as the 2045 Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) and the 2020-2024 Consolidated Plan for Genesee County. As the 2045 Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) it addresses transportation issues out to the year 2045 by providing transportation policies, projects, and recommendations for Genesee County.
The Genesee County 2045 Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) needs to be amended to add the following items: in the main document of the LRTP, text and graphics have been added regarding the Mass Transportation Authority’s (MTA) Public Transportation Agency Safety Plan (PTASP); the System Performance Technical Report and the Transit Technical Report have both been updated with MTA’s Safety Plan (PTASP) information; and the LRTP 2045 Projects Technical Report has been updated by adding an Illustrative Project. The project is MDOT’s I-69/I-75 interchange modernization, which would include the ramps in that interchange. The project is illustrative meaning that no funding or year has been associated with it. The estimated cost for the project is $700,000,000. This will allow MDOT to move forward with looking at various options for the interchange and for continuing public participation.
A public comment period for Amendment # 1 to the plan will be held from Sunday, January 17, 2021 through Wednesday, January 27, 2021. The amendment is available for public review and comment here at this link. Questions or comments may be made by telephone, facsimile, mail, or e-mail using the contact information provided below.
